Quick Update

Things have been going very well lately; summer vacation is drawing to an end and the weather is cooling off, but that is not slowing progress in any way! The article in my local newspaper that I posted a link to in my previous blog entry has had tons of positive feedback, and everywhere I go people recognize me as the, "Kid who's sailing for diabetes!" It is great to know that people are spreading the word and helping this adventure take off! Last night I purchased a small (25') training vessel (pictured to the left as we motor back into the marina after a short sail) to use to test out crew, equipment, techniques... etc. She is a 1981 Tanzer 7.5 in beautiful condition known as 'Frankly Scarlett.'
